Stewart has worked for me for nearly 6 years as a quantity surveyor on two property developments in St Georges Hill with a combined area of 30,000 sq/ft.
The first development was incredibly challenging as he had to come in half way through the project when the original developer went into administration so he was required to quickly navigate a complicated financial situation to assist with getting the project back on track. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Stewart part way through the construction phase of my 18,000 sq/ft house on the Wentworth Estate, when the project was in urgent need of a safe pair of hands to guide me through the complexities of getting the house finished at a very critical stage. I was asking Stewart to inherit an extremely difficult and complex set of circumstances especially when none of the issues had been created by him and I had no certainty on the amount of time or cost to finish the work. However, after only 2 weeks of thoroughly looking through all the project information, some of which was not complete, Stewart had collated a report that advised the correct timeframe and budget that remained for the project. This proved to be invaluable at the time. Managing a bespoke house of this type part way through took a high degree of skill and application in navigating the existing consultants and supply chain as well as introducing new suppliers, providing the project the level of experience which was required. Stewart was thoroughly dedicated throughout, often going above and beyond to ensure the build reached a successful conclusion. Just as important, and often ignored when you start a project, he remained a constant source of support after the completion of the construction phase and prior to the sale of the property.
